Job Details

We’re looking for a proactive Environmental Officer to manage compliance, monitoring, and sustainability at our beef abattoir. You’ll ensure operations meet all environmental regulations while driving initiatives in waste, water, and energy management.

What You’ll Do:

• Monitor water, air, waste, and effluent systems, and maintain accurate environmental records.
• Ensure compliance with permits, licenses, and legislation, support audits and corrective actions.
• Develop and implement waste reduction and sustainability programs.
• Identify environmental risks, investigate incidents, and implement solutions.
• Train and engage staff to promote a strong environmental culture.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Environmental Management, Agriculture, Chemistry, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of environmental legislation and industrial compliance.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work on-site in a processing environment.
• Must have experience working in an abattoir or meat processing environment.
