As the business continues to thrive, an opportunity has arisen for an FCL Cartage Coordinator to step into a pivotal role within their high performing team.
Working in a positive and friendly team environment you will be responsible for managing FCL transport requirements, working closely with internal departments to ensure timely delivery and compliance.
Responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating bookings with preferred cartage suppliers
- Ensure all customs and AQIS regulations have been satisfied
- Pay duties / GST upon confirmation that the entry has been prepared by the broker
- Monitor customs clearance status
- Release (cleared) imports against payment of charges, approved credit arrangements, or COD payments
- Liaising with customers to confirm delivery requirements
- Job costing, debtor coding and generating invoices
- Dehire of equipment and detention management
- Process damaged cargo and lodging claims as required
- Support with warehouse order pick and vehicle loading on an adhoc basis as required.
To be considered for this position applicants must have sound wharf cartage/transport knowledge with a clear understanding of port operations OR currently working in a freight forwarding environment with a genuine desire to further build your industry experience.
You will possess highly developed communication skills, able to manage your workload and prioritise effectively with the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
