A well-established and growing manufacturing business based on Brisbane’s northside is seeking an experienced Finance & Administration Supervisor to take ownership of its finance, payroll and office administration functions.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys balancing strategic oversight with day-to-day operational involvement. You will oversee a small team across payroll and administration while supporting the broader business through reporting, process improvement and operational coordination.
Working closely with senior leadership, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of financial and administrative operations while helping drive efficiencies and continuous improvement across the business.
Key Responsibilities - Oversee finance, payroll and administration operations across the business
- Lead, mentor and support a small finance and administration team
- Manage weekly payroll processes and ensure compliance with awards and legislation
- Review and oversee financial data entry, reporting and system accuracy
- Support budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting activities
- Improve processes, systems and operational workflows across finance and administration
- Coordinate reporting, documentation and general business support functions
- Partner with leadership to provide insights and operational support
About You To be successful, you will possess:
- Previous experience in payroll leadership within a fast-paced environment;
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation, awards and compliance requirements;
- Proven experience managing and developing staff (preferred but not essential);
- High attention to detail with strong organisational skills;
- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines;
- Experience with MYOB, Employment Hero or similar systems (highly regarded);
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a collaborative approach.
