Our client, a leader in the FMCG space is currently seeking a proactive, hands on Health & Safety Lead to champion a culture of care and elevate safety standards. This is a highly visible role where you’ll partner closely with site leaders and working collaboratively with Production, Quality, Training and People & Culture to embed best-practice health and safety across this dynamic, fast-paced environment.
About the Role Reporting to the General Manager HSE, you’ll lead the delivery of their Health & Safety Management System, coach leaders to own safety outcomes, and drive continuous improvement across the site all while ensuring strong legislative compliance and risk management. What You’ll Be Accountable For - Leading the delivery of a site-wide Health & Safety Management System
- Driving a strong, visible culture of care, accountability and continuous improvement
- Coaching and mentoring frontline and senior leaders to strengthen safety ownership
- Facilitating critical risk management programs across high-risk processes
- Leading investigations, audits and compliance activities, ensuring meaningful corrective actions
- Reviewing and approving Safe Work Instructions, risk assessments and incident reports
- Partnering with People & Culture and training teams to identify and deliver targeted WH&S training
- Maintaining safety registers, metrics and reporting that provide real insight not just data
- Providing expert WHS advice that directly influences safe operational decision-making
What You’ll Bring - Tertiary qualifications in Work Health & Safety
- Strong Proven experience implementing and improving WHS management systems within an FMCG / Manufacturing / Food environments
- Strong working knowledge of WHS legislation, compliance frameworks and best practice
- Confidence influencing leaders and challenging unsafe behaviours constructively
- Excellent communication skills on the floor, in meetings and in reports
- Highly organised, detail-driven, and comfortable owning multiple priorities
