Join a fast-growing, privately owned freight forwarding and customs brokerage business with a strong national presence across Australia. Known for delivering tailored logistics solutions, this business specialises in the movement of high-value and unique cargo including vehicles, marine freight and project shipments.

Due to continued growth, an opportunity is now available for an experienced Operations professional to join their Brisbane southside head office, working closely with senior leadership in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.

This is a true end-to-end role where you will manage shipments from initial booking with overseas agents right through to final delivery within Australia.

You will also gain exposure to export movements, coordinating freight from origin through to international destination ports.

This role will suit a proactive, solutions-driven operator who enjoys working outside of standard forwarding processes and can think commercially when handling complex or non-standard cargo.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing end-to-end import and export shipments
• Liaising with customers, overseas agents and internal sales teams
• Coordinating transport, bookings and delivery requirements
• Handling documentation including ERA/PRA processes
• Negotiating rates with suppliers and carriers
• Resolving customer enquiries and operational issues
• Assisting with onboarding of new client accounts
• Preparing load plans and coordinating specialised cargo movements
• Invoicing and maintaining accurate job records

About You:

• Proven experience within Import Freight Forwarding (essential)
• Exposure to export or cartage operations highly regarded
• Strong attention to detail with accurate data entry skills
• Confident communicator with a professional phone manner
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
• Reliable, punctual and team-oriented

Experience handling oversized, breakbulk or specialised cargo will be highly advantageous, however training will be provided to support your development within this niche space.
