We are currently partnering with several leading Food Manufacturing and FMCG companies across Brisbane and are seeking experienced Maintenance Electricians to join their teams.

About the Role

As a Maintenance Electrician, you will play a critical role in ensuring plant and production equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably while minimising downtime and maximising production output.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on industrial machinery and production equipment.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance requirements in a timely manner.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults across production and packaging equipment.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on motors, drives, conveyors, pumps, sensors, and automated systems.
• Fault find on PLC-controlled equipment, including I/O faults, communication issues, and control circuits.
• Complete maintenance records and documentation using CMMS systems.
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, commissioning, and project work.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with site safety procedures and industry standards.
• Recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency.

To be successful in this role, you will have

• Current Queensland Electrical Licence.
• Previous experience working as a Maintenance Electrician within Food Manufacturing, FMCG, Packaging, Processing, or Industrial Manufacturing environments.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working with PLCs, VSDs, motors, conveyors, sensors, and automated production equipment.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
