The Role
As a Maintenance Electrician, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of production equipment through preventative maintenance, breakdown response and continuous improvement initiatives.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out preventative and reactive electrical maintenance
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults on production equipment
- Fault finding on PLCs, motors, drives, sensors and control systems
- Performing electrical testing and ensuring compliance with safety standards
- Supporting installation, commissioning and equipment upgrades
- Completing maintenance records using CMMS or similar systems
- Working closely with production teams to minimise downtime
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
- Maintaining a safe and compliant work environment
About You To be successful, you'll have:
- Current Queensland Electrical Licence
- Experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, FMCG, food processing or similar environments
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with PLCs, VSDs, motors and industrial control systems
- A proactive, safety-first approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work overtime or rotating rosters where required
Experience in food manufacturing or meat processing is highly regarded but not essential.
Some opportunities require a Q Fever vaccination, which can be arranged by the employer if required.
