Maintenance Engineer – Steel Manufacturing
$120,000 – \$130,000 + Super
Full-Time |M- F (9am-5pm) Darra, QLD

A leading steel manufacturer is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join their Darra facility, working with advanced machinery imported from Germany.

About the Role:
You will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving complex production machinery, with opportunities to work on advanced PLC systems. Your focus will be on maximising uptime, ensuring safety, and optimising manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

•  Preventative and breakdown maintenance on automated machinery.
• Fault-finding and optimisation of PLC-controlled equipment (Siemens preferred).
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to boost efficiency.
•  Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Collaborate with production teams to minimise downtime.

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 3+ years’ steel manufacturing experience (essential).
•  Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
•  Basic understanding of  PLC systems.
• Proven experience with complex, automated machinery.
• Relevant trade qualification or engineering degree.
