Job Title: Maintenance Fitter
Location: Carole Park Site
Salary: $43 per hour + penalties + OT
Roster: 4 on, 4 off (rotating shifts)
Shift Times:

• 4:15am to 2:15pm Day Shift
• 1:45pm to 11:45pm Afternoon Shift
• Overtime and shift cover available. No on call.

Key Responsibilities
As a Maintenance Fitter  you will be responsible for:

• Routine & Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance to keep machinery and equipment operating efficiently.
• Troubleshooting & Fault Resolution: Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Project Support: Assist with machinery installations, upgrades, and modifications to improve production efficiency.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the maintenance team and other departments to support day-to-day operations.

  
Skills & Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitting and Turning).
• Proven Experience: Industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong troubleshooting abilities, with experience identifying mechanical faults and providing efficient solutions.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work rotating 4-on-4-off shifts, including weekends if required.
• Self-Motivation & Organisational Skills: Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively to meet tight deadlines.
• Attention to Detail: A strong focus on precision and quality in all tasks.
• Team Player: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with others to achieve goals.

  
Work Environment & Team Structure

• Equipment & Machinery: Industrial grinders, blenders, coating equipment, forming machines, and freezers.
• Reactive vs Preventative Maintenance: Monday-Friday is predominantly reactive, with corrective works and preventative maintenance scheduled on weekends.
• Team Structure:
• 1 Fitter & 1 Electrician per shift
• Electrical Leading Hand & Mechanical Leading Hand on day shift
• TA and Support Supervisor
