Maintenance Fitter – Food Manufacturing | 4 on / 4 off Rotating Roster 

Full-time, Permanent | $51.09/hr (incl. penalties) + tool allowance + production bonus

A long-term, secure opportunity is available for a mature, trade-qualified Maintenance Fitter who wants a local role with stability through to retirement. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys a hands-on workshop/production environment, takes pride in quality workmanship, and values being part of a close-knit team.

You’ll be joining a site with a strong culture and excellent long-term tenure, where the maintenance team is supported by a hands-on leader who genuinely cares about safety and your wellbeing. The team regularly gets together for weekly lunches and BBQs, and the environment is respectful, supportive, and focused on doing things properly.

Roster

• 4 on / 4 off rotating AM/PM shifts
• 2x AM shifts: 4:15am – 2:15pm
• 2x PM shifts: 1:45pm – 11:45pm
• Followed by 4 consecutive days off

Key Responsibilities

• Proactive and reactive maintenance to support production output
• Fabrication and repair of food processing equipment and machinery
• Preventative maintenance and fault-finding to reduce downtime
• Assist with upgrades, improvements, and upcoming site projects
• Work safely at all times (LOTO, guarding, PPE, procedures)
• Reporting and collaboration with the site maintenance leadership team

What We’re Looking For

• Cert III Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent trade qualification)
• Strong experience in fabrication and repairs, ideally across stainless steel / food-grade equipment
• Exposure to machining and/or TIG welding (highly regarded)
• Comfortable working autonomously and as part of a reliable team
• Safety-focused, steady worker who takes pride in doing the job right
• LF Forklift Licence is desirable (not essential)
