About the Business Pace Appointments are assisting a Poultry industry client and their processing operations, seeking a full-time
Maintenance Fitter and Turner to join their already strong on-site workforce and dedicated maintenance team, with a focus on reliability, safety, and continuous improvement across the site.
About the Role Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator (dual trade – Electrical/Fitter), you will play a key role in ensuring the ongoing reliability and performance of plant and equipment.
Key Responsibilities - Perform preventative maintenance in line with scheduled plans (MEX)
- Fault finding and breakdown repairs to minimise downtime
- Daily inspections, monitoring, and reporting on plant and machinery condition
- Fabrication and modification of equipment for use within the processing facility
- Maintain a strong focus on Health & Safety compliance at all times
About You - Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade) or equivalent
- Experience in industrial manufacturing or processing environments
- Strong fault-finding and mechanical problem-solving skills
- Able to work autonomously and within a team
- Positive attitude with strong communication skills
- Able to satisfy Drug & Alcohol assessment.
Highly regarded but not essential: - Forklift licence
- TIG / MIG welding experience
- Poultry industry experience
- FMCG Manufacturing
- HACCP knowledge
What's on Offer
- Monday to Friday – 4am - 12.06pm
- $53 – $55 per hour, based on experience
- Stable, long-term role within an established processing operation
