A well-established industrial manufacturing facility is seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join their maintenance team in a permanent, full-time role. This is a great opportunity for a tradesperson who enjoys hands-on fault finding, preventative maintenance and keeping production equipment running efficiently.

With a strong maintenance team already in place, you’ll play a key role in minimising downtime and improving equipment reliability across the plant.

What’s on offer

• $49.07 per hour
• 40 hour week + regular overtime available
• Overtime paid at 150% for first 3 hours, 200% thereafter
• Permanent, full-time role

Roster

Rotating days and afternoons:

• Day Shift: 4:00am – 2:30pm
• Afternoon/Night Shift: 2:30pm – 1:00am

Key responsibilities

• Preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults
• Routine servicing, lubrication and inspections of plant equipment
• Responding to breakdowns and restoring equipment to operation quickly
• Recording maintenance activities using CMMS systems
• Assisting with installation, commissioning and upgrades of machinery
• Working with the team to identify root causes and improve equipment reliability
• Maintaining strong safety standards across all maintenance activities

About you

• Mechanical Trade Qualification (Fitter & Turner / Maintenance Fitter or similar)
• 4 year apprenticeship or equivalent trade training
• Welding certification or strong welding experience
• Experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance environments
• Strong fault finding and troubleshooting ability
• Ability to work effectively within a team and manage time well
• Good understanding of maintenance best practice and production equipment
