Maintenance Fitter & Turner
Location: Caboolture QLD (45 mins North of Brisbane)
Salary: $45 – $48/hour + daily overtime + penalties
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Roster: 4 days on, 4 days off
Shift: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (7.6-hour shifts)
Overtime: Paid after 9.5 hrs/day

 Fitter & Turner

Working within a fast-paced production environment, you’ll take responsibility for mechanical maintenance, repairs, and fabrication across slaughter, boning, and packaging areas.

Key Duties

• Conduct preventative and breakdown maintenance on plant and mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair conveyors, saws, gearboxes, and hydraulic systems.
• Perform machining, welding, and fabrication as required.
• Maintain high standards of safety, hygiene, and housekeeping.
• Accurately record maintenance activities and report completed work.

What You’ll Bring

• Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitter & Turner).
• Previous experience in food processing, FMCG, or heavy manufacturing (preferred but not essential).
• Welding/fabrication skills (MIG, TIG, or ARC) desirable.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving ability.
• Safety- and quality-focused work ethic.
