Pace Appointments QLD is currently seeking experienced Maintenance Fitters for multiple permanent opportunities across Brisbane and South East Queensland. We are partnering with several well-established industrial and manufacturing businesses offering strong hourly rates, stable long-term employment, and a variety of day and rotating shift rosters to suit different lifestyles.

Current Opportunities

1. Maintenance Fitter – Large-Scale Manufacturing
North Brisbane | Permanent | Rotating Roster
Join a major manufacturing facility employing over 300 onsite staff, supported by a highly experienced 28-person maintenance team and strong safety-first culture.

• Fully onsite, permanent role
• 7-week rotating roster (1 week night shift)
• 30% night shift loading
• Overtime available most Saturdays + RDO accrual
• Work on hydraulic extrusion presses & industrial processing equipment

Shift Pattern:
Day: Mon–Fri 5:30am–1:30pm
Night: Sun–Thu 9:30pm–5:30am

2. Maintenance Fitter – Recycling & Sustainability
Stapylton | Permanent | Day Shift
Be part of an innovative tyre recycling operation, working at a newly commissioned facility with state-of-the-art machinery.

• $52 per hour
• Day shift: 6:00am–2:00pm
• Brand-new equipment and systems
• Conduct preventative and reactive maintenance on conveyors, hydraulics, and tyre recycling machinery.
• Forklift & EWP required

3. Maintenance Fitter – Industrial Production Facility
Brisbane | Permanent | Rotating Roster
Join a large-scale food manufacturing operation supporting high-volume production in a fast-paced processing environment.

• $49.07 per hour
• 40-hour week + overtime
• Preventative and breakdown maintenance across mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Rotating roster

Shift Pattern:
Day: 4:00am–2:30pm
Night: 2:30pm–1:00am

What You’ll Need

• Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter (Cert III or equivalent)
• Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments
• Strong fault-finding across mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic systems
• Welding certification (role dependent)
• Forklift/EWP (role dependent)
• Ability to work rotating shifts (where applicable)
• Safety-focused mindset and strong teamwork skills
• Full Australian work rights
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical & D&A
