The Opportunity An established manufacturing operation on Brisbane’s south side is seeking a highly organised and proactive Stores and Procurement Coordinator to support site reliability and maintenance outcomes. Working closely with maintenance and operations teams, you’ll play a key role in ensuring critical parts, materials, and systems are aligned to minimise downtime and optimise performance.
Scope - Overseeing day-to-day stores operations including purchasing, receipting, stock control and inventory accuracy;
- Ensuring spare parts and consumables are available to support maintenance, breakdowns and shutdowns;
- Maintaining system integrity across CMMS/ERP platforms, including item data, supplier records and stock levels;
- Driving improvements in stores organisation, layout and housekeeping standards;
- Supporting maintenance planning with BOM coordination, cost tracking and procurement;
- Managing supplier relationships and identifying opportunities for improved commercial outcomes;
- Conducting cycle counts, stocktakes and variance investigations to ensure audit readiness;
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams across maintenance, production, quality and finance.
About You You’re a detail-oriented and solutions-focused professional who performs optimally under pressure. You enjoy being hands-on, take pride in accuracy, and can confidently manage competing priorities in a fast-moving production environment.
Additionally, you will demonstrate: - Background in engineering stores, MRO procurement or inventory control within manufacturing / engineering / heavy industry / manufacturing environments;
- Strong understanding of stock management, cycle counting and inventory processes;
- Experience working with CMMS or ERP systems (e.g. MEX, SAP, or similar) from your time in mechanical/electrical spare parts;
- Solid computer skills (including Excel);
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across teams and suppliers
Desirable - Experience in food or FMCG manufacturing;
- Exposure to Lean, 5S, Kanban;
- Trade background (Mechanical or Electrical) or Engineering qualification.
