About the Role
Join a leading meat processing facility as our next
Maintenance Supervisor, overseeing a skilled team of maintenance fitters across a fast-paced and highly regulated production environment. You will drive plant reliability, safety, and performance while coordinating maintenance activities to support continuous production operations.
Key Responsibilities - Lead, supervise, and develop a team of maintenance fitters across rotating shifts
- Coordinate planned, breakdown, and preventive maintenance to maximise uptime
- Provide hands-on support with troubleshooting and complex mechanical repairs
- Maintain a strong safety-first culture and ensure compliance with site regulations
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and QA teams to prioritise maintenance tasks
- Manage maintenance documentation, work orders, and compliance records
- Drive continuous improvement through performance monitoring and optimisation
Roster Overview Shift Times: - Day Shift: 4:00 AM start
- Night Shift: 4:00 PM start
Average Weekly Hours: 42 hours
4-Week Rotation: - Week 1: 48 hours (2 days / 2 nights)
- Week 2: 60 hours (2 days / 3 nights)
- Week 3: 36 hours (3 days)
- Week 4: 24 hours (2 nights)
Qualifications - Trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter or Electrician, or similar technical background
- Experience in a supervisory or leading-hand role
- FMCG, meat processing, poultry, or manufacturing experience preferred
- Strong troubleshooting ability across mechanical systems and production machinery
- Experience with CMMS systems, inventory, and maintenance scheduling
- Willing to obtain a Q Fever vaccination
