The Opportunity
An established and steadily growing manufacturing business on Brisbane’s north side is looking for a motivated Graduate Accountant to join their team. This is a fantastic entry point into a commercial environment where you’ll build practical skills, gain exposure to end-to-end accounting processes, and work closely with a mentor.

You’ll be involved in a variety of tasks that keep the finance function running smoothly, while also developing your technical capability and confidence in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting on the precipice of real growth with confirmed expansion plans.

Scope:
You’ll support day-to-day finance operations, assist with reporting cycles, and help maintain accurate financial records. The role offers exposure to month-end processes, compliance requirements, and stakeholder communication, including working with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.  Responsibilities may include:

• Providing day to day support to the Financial Controller;
• Assist with preparation of financial statements and reports;
• Support month end and year end closing processes;
• Perform reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records;
• Assist with tax compliance and other regulatory requirements;
• Provide administrative and ad hoc accounting support as needed.

About you:
You’re a recent Accounting graduate (or final year student) who’s eager to learn and build a long-term career in finance. You have strong attention to detail, would enjoy working in a production environment, and bring a proactive, can-do attitude to everything you do.

Fluency in Mandarin (spoken and written) is essential, along with solid Excel skills and the ability to communicate confidently with a range of stakeholders.

Experience within FMCG or other fast-paced production environments will be highly regarded, though not essential, however Mandarin language skills are required to liaise with overseas customers.
