About the Role Pace have joined with successful Agribusiness and are seeking an experienced
Mechanic – Leading Hand to support the Mechanical Workshop Manager in a hands-on leadership role. This position combines day-to-day mechanical work with responsibility for guiding the workshop team, coordinating jobs and maintaining fleet reliability across agricultural and civil equipment.
In the absence of the Workshop Manager, you will take full operational responsibility for the workshop.
Key Responsibilities - Lead and support mechanics on the workshop floor
- Carry out servicing, fault finding and repairs on vehicles and equipment
- Monitor job progress and report issues or delays
- Assist with job estimates, parts coordination and breakdown support
- Mentor apprentices and promote safe work practices
- Maintain a safe, compliant and organised workshop
About You - Trade-qualified Mechanic (essential)
- Previous Leading Hand or supervisory experience
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and organisational ability
- Safety-focused with a professional positive attitude
- Excellent overall fitness and stamina
