About the Role
Seeking
qualified Carpenters for an immediate start. This role offers a
variety of work across civil construction, commercial, and residential projects.
You will be involved in tasks including:
- Carpentry works on construction sites, commercial and residential buildings
- Formwork, steel fixing, and assisting with concrete works
- Reading and interpreting plans
- Measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing timber and prefabricated elements
- Working collaboratively with concreters and other trades on civil projects
There is
potential for away work throughout Western CQ, with allowances provided.
Key Responsibilities - Operate plant, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently
- Conduct pre-start inspections and report faults
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture onsite
- Deliver high-quality workmanship and contribute to continuous improvement
- Complete timesheets, pre-start checks, and job/safety documentation
- Attend and participate in toolbox meetings (and occasionally lead them)
- Undertake further training as required to support skill development
- Perform general onsite civil construction and building duties
Essential Qualifications & Experience - Certificate III in Carpentry (Trade Qualified)
- Construction Industry White Card
- Current Queensland Driver’s Licence
- Experience using hand tools and minor machinery
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans
- Exposure to civil construction, domestic, and/or industrial sites (preferred)
