Our client is now seeking a trusted and passionate People & Culture Lead to join a dynamic site leadership team to drive engagement, performance, and positive workplace change where it truly counts. This opportunity offers a role with influence and variety from workforce planning and employee relations to training, return to work and culture initiatives. You will own the full P&C remit and see the direct impact of your work every day.

Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Head of People & Culture and working closely with the Plant Manager and site leadership team, you’ll be the go-to P&C partner on site. You’ll balance strategy with day-to-day operational support, helping leaders build high-performing teams while fostering a positive, inclusive and compliant workplace culture. - Partnering with leaders to drive people performance and positive culture change
- Workforce planning, recruitment and succession planning
- Performance management, employee relations and investigations
- Leading return-to-work programs and injury management coordination
- Delivering training, inductions and P&C policy education
- Supporting development plans and capability building across teams
- Managing HR systems, employee records and site absenteeism trends
- Ensuring compliance with Fair Work, Awards/EBAs and employment legislation
- Building strong relationships with external stakeholders including labour hire providers, medical professionals and community groups
- This is a role where you’ll coach, influence, problem-solve and improve — every single day.
About You You’re a confident HR professional who thrives in an operational environment and enjoys being close to the workforce. You build trust easily, communicate with impact, and aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves. You’ll bring:
- Experience in a broad HR / People & Culture role
- Strong knowledge of employee relations and performance management
- The ability to build strong working relationships across all levels
- Sound understanding of employment legislation, awards and workplace practices
- Excellent organisation skills with strong attention to detail
- Confidence delivering training and supporting leaders through people matters
- A proactive mindset with the judgement to know when to guide, coach or step in
- Formal HR qualifications (Cert IV or Diploma) are desirable, but practical experience and the right attitude count just as much.
