The Opportunity Pace Appointments seek to connect a seasoned People & Culture Manager to our valued agribusiness partner to join their Senior Leadership Team. The Scope Reporting directly to the executive leadership, this role will oversee the full human resources function—strategic and operational. You will lead a small team of 3, shape organisational culture, drive talent management initiatives, and ensure workforce capability and compliance in a dynamic, fast-paced and sprawling environment.
Key Responsibilities - Develop and execute HR strategies that align with business objectives and foster a positive workplace culture;
- Design and implement workforce development plans that meet operational requirements and regulatory standards;
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, supporting decision-making through expert HR guidance;
- Manage all phases of the employment lifecycle, ensuring compliance with industrial relations frameworks and PALM Scheme obligations;
- Oversee remuneration, reward, and recognition programs that are fair, market-aligned, and effective;
- Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement, retention, and performance across the business;
- Promote and uphold workplace health, safety, and wellbeing in accordance with legislative and company standards.
Success Profile Described as a consummate professional, able to delicately juggle the many facets of their role with agility, you are a pillar of strength that provides unwavering solidarity, by being unequivocally across legislative and regulatory framework. Essentially, you have worked in the horticultural sector previously and would be comfortable travelling interstate to rural regions when required.
Additionally, your cv would reflect the following key differentiators:
Essential: - Demonstrated horticultural experience and
- Exposure to managing PALM scheme and Labour Hire workforces previously;
- Proven experience in a senior HR generalist role encompassing both strategic and hands-on responsibilities;
- Strong understanding of Australian employment legislation, IR frameworks, and HR best practices;
- Exceptional relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels;
- Demonstrated success in leading small teams and juggling competing priorities effectively.
Desirable: - Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline.
