Our client, a well-established organisation in the commercial construction sector, predominantly specialising in refurbishment projects, is seeking a proven leader to drive the growth and performance of the business in Queensland. This is a senior appointment with full accountability for strategy, client engagement, and divisional results.
The Role As Divisional Manager, you will take ownership of the division’s strategic direction, ensuring strong market positioning and long-term growth. You will be outward-facing, focused on building and maintaining client relationships while overseeing divisional P&L and commercial performance. Central to your success will be your ability to lead cultural transformation, inspire senior leaders, and champion operational excellence across the business.
Key Responsibilities - Develop and execute a clear divisional growth strategy;
- Strengthen client relationships, bid positioning, and brand presence in the market;
- Lead culture shift and performance improvement initiatives;
- Provide executive reporting and ensure accountability for divisional outcomes;
- Drive adoption of systems, process improvements, and compliance;
- Oversee pricing strategy, negotiations, and divisional financial performance.
About You - Significant leadership experience in the construction industry (essential);
- Broad construction knowledge to credibly engage clients and support commercial decision-making (without needing to lead technical detail);
- A strong track record in business growth, operational leadership, and financial accountability;
- Experience managing senior teams and setting high-performance cultures;
- Strategic, commercially astute, and confident influencing at executive level.
