Join a well-established and highly regarded food processing company seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Officer to take on a key role in maintaining and improving their high standards of product quality and food safety.
This full-time position offers you the opportunity to work in a great facility, as part of a close-knit quality team. Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will play a hands-on role in ensuring compliance, driving continuous improvement, and supporting production operations.
Key Responsibilities - Develop, implement, and rigorously maintain quality control systems and procedures, ensuring compliance with HACCP, AUS-MEAT, and other relevant industry regulations
- Perform pre-operational and daily inspections to ensure compliance with quality and food safety requirements
- Assist with and conduct internal audits, identifying non-conformances and driving improvements
- Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely documentation of inspections, processes, and outcomes
- Apply and monitor corrective and preventative actions to maintain product and process integrity
- Provide guidance and support to Production Supervisors and team members on quality standards and procedures
- Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the site
About You The ideal candidate will have a proactive mindset, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for ensuring products meet the highest standards. You will also bring:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a quality assurance or quality control role within the meat processing or food manufacturing industry
- Strong knowledge of HACCP systems, food safety legislation, and industry compliance requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work collaboratively within a small, fast-paced team environment
- A commitment to workplace health and safety best practices
