OVERVIEW With a focus to enhance, promote and ingrain safety across sites, the key objective will be to partner effectively across the business to build capability and participation at all levels. In addition, you will be responsible for influencing ongoing cultural engagement.
Ideally demonstrating a background in manufacturing/FMCG and evidenced capacity and capability to influence across multiple sites, you will thrive on the hands-on nature of what you do and the platform to mentor and coach employees.
SCOPE Responsible for managing the Health and Safety remit, you will drive and apply continuous improvement to the overall H+S culture as a whole. Reporting directly to the People + Safety Manager, a snapshot in the life of might look like:
- Provision of current advice to support solid governance + compliance with the act/s;
- Supporting + delivering safety related activities across all locations;
- Oversight of all H+S matters including, compliance, incident response + investigation, emergency preparedness, training, licensing, inspections + other assurance activities;
- Other duties include but are no means limited to; site toolboxes, committee programs, investigations, reporting, register maintenance, risk identification, safety plans, data capture for ongoing improvement and RTW across multiple sites.
SUCCESS PROFILE Essential: - Tertiary qualification/s in Health + Safety or related discipline;
- Experience as a Safety Officer in a manufacturing/Production environment.
Desired: - Exposure to food manufacturing;
- Drug + Alcohol Testing Certification;
- Workplace Rehabilitation Coordinator Accreditation.
