About the Role:
Reporting to the Site Manager, you will play a key role in fostering a culture of safety and compliance across the facility. You will be responsible for implementing WHS initiatives, ensuring safe work practices, and maintaining compliance with Queensland legislation in a fast-paced meat processing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support all WHS activities across the site.
• Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and audits.
• Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and staff training.
• Maintain WHS policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Identify workplace hazards and implement effective control measures.
• Work closely with site leadership, production, and maintenance teams.
• Monitor and report on safety performance and compliance.
• Promote a proactive, safety-first culture across all levels of the organisation.

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience in a WHS role, preferably in the food, abattoir, or FMCG industries.
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and regulations (Queensland).
• Ability to identify, assess, and control workplace risks effectively.
• Confident communicator with a hands-on, practical approach.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Proactive attitude toward continuous improvement and safety culture.

Qualifications:

• Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (mandatory).
• First Aid & CPR certification (preferred).
• Additional training in Incident Investigation, Risk Management, or Auditing (desirable).
• Valid driver’s licence (essential).
