The Role You will oversee day-to-day workshop activity, keeping work safe, efficient, and to a high standard while hitting production and maintenance targets.
What You'll Be Doing - Supervising and supporting workshop staff, including trades, apprentices, and contractors
- Planning, allocating, and prioritising daily and weekly workloads
- Enforcing WHS policies, running toolbox talks, and driving a strong safety culture
- Monitoring equipment condition, maintenance schedules, and breakdowns
- Liaising with management, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
- Overseeing job documentation, timesheets, and reporting
- Supporting training, mentoring, and performance development of the team
- Maintaining workshop housekeeping and compliance standards
About You - Trade qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Fabrication, or a related discipline
- Previous experience in a Workshop Team Leader or Leading Hand role
- Sound knowledge of WHS requirements and safe work practices
- Confident reading and interpreting work orders, drawings, and schedules
- Strong organisational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Computer literacy for reporting and scheduling (desirable)
